Oh, and can you name great straight couples? Because I honestly thought those WERE great straight couples. To be fair to you, BD, I'll name a good straight couple. Chris Martin(lead singer of Coldplay) and Gwyneth Paltrow. They seem to be doing well so far. One of the rare survivors. Perfect, you named a good straight couple for me. Now try to compare them with other good gay couples. I think you'll find that they're just as good as gay couples. I am not saying that homosexuality solves the problem. I'm just saying that they seem more stable. I almost forgot what we were arguing about. The topic at hand is: Gay couples breaking up is rare because gay couples are rare. Let me rephrase my earlier question. I am not actually saying that you think that people should be gay in order to be stable. My real question is: Do you think that if gay couples were the norm, gay couples would still be as stable as we see them now?

Basta. Para sa akin, Same sex marriage should not be approve because it would just influence younger people.

UB, whether or not gay marriage will be legalized in the Philippines, the youth will still be gay if they want to. They are just oppressed. What will happen is, they're going to fight harder for equal rights, especially now that there is an apparent improvement on gay rights in other countries. Our country is just too conservative.
BD, gay couples aren't the norm, however, there are as many gays as straights, I believe. They're everywhere! Homosexuals are pretty common now. Why do you think there are so many establishments (ex. Gay bars) specifically made for gays now?

No, gays are still uncommon because today they're still unaccepted by a lot of people, like the sanctimonious holier-than-thou Christfags, or like Useless Being over here. Maybe where you come from, a lot of gays gather because of, as you said, so many establishments for gays over there. But where I come from, gays only appear in about once in a hundred males. Try going to a classroom. You'll find, what? One or two gays in the whole class?

Okay, let's put this in perspective. How many gays out there are STILL in the closet? And of course homosexuals aren't apparent in school. Not only do A LOT schools punish homosexuality, homosexuality doesn't really develop at that age yet. Most gays realize their sexuality when they turn into adults because that's the age of exploration.
And just because homosexuality is not accepted, doesn't mean they're uncommon. They're everywhere, but they're just oppressed.

We're just arguing under assumption. I find no proof that gays are equal to straights in number. Increasing number of establishments for gays means increasing number of gay activities, not increasing number of gays itself. Please find me a concrete evidence rather than a vague, "there are so many establishments for gays now?"

So, Same sex marriage should be trashed because many innocent young children will be affected, when this kind of bill/law would be approve.

OK just one question, being gay means you LIKE the same sex ALWAYS -- it's a given fact right?
How can you say that young people are going to be influenced if by your definition they're going to see it like a "fad" coz "other people are doing it" I mean I liked power rangers but I outgrew it. If they're really 100% homo then they'll turn out that way no matter what, if thery're not then it's going to go away when they grow older.

It's people like you who oppress people who are different from the norm. What is so wrong with people wanting to be gay? They're just trying to be themselves! Why should we force them to be something they're not? It is a matter of preference. Some men like cocks and some women like vajayjays. To people like you, UB, it's not normal. But to people like them, it's the most natural thing in the world.
