RANT: I'm nervous...I'm not quite sure I'll get to march with my batch. I have really bad conduct for being tardy all the time. It'd be really dumb to not get to march just because of that though...so many people in my batch do drugs, smoke on campus, cheat, and have gotten caught...and a lot of them will get to graduate... GAAAH. I'm super nervous.

Dammit! Why is it they're always saying that I can't go home late, I can't have fun with my friends, I can't attend overnights and I can't have a fucking boyfriend because I'm a girl?! I mean, why do they have to keep saying that I might get myself raped and afterwards, get pregnant?! WHAT THE HELL?! I can take care of myself now! I'm fucking old enough to know what I should do or not do! I'm not stupid enough to do drugs and have sex then get pregnant! Of course I will use a condom in case! (Haha!) Damn..

But when it comes to my fucking younger brother, they just allow him to screw up his life. They allow him to get home late, to drink with friends, to talk on the phone with any girl he wants and to have a fucking condom in his bag!!!

I know they're just trying to protect me but can't they give me some space and privacy? I'm a fucking teenager, dammit! I'm mature enough, well-informed and aware of the consequences that might occur if I did something wrong. But what's wrong of spending time with your friends and having a boyfriend?! I should be having fun and enjoying life with nothing to think about except my limitations and some rules that I have to follow. But their rules are soooo over the hedge. I can't take this anymore. It feels like they will make me suffer like this until I graduate college.

And when it comes to having a boyfriend, of course I have my standards! Why do they worry so much?! I have my own will in case my boyfriend would attempt to harass me or something. I can say no and even say yes but still have a set of conditions with it, right?! And I know how men can be bolero just to get what they want. Well, for their information, I won't fall for it unless I really want to!

I wonder how my college life will be. I think my misery will be doubled since drinking will be a necessity every after exams or so I've heard. Or other than that, partying and dating... ugh.

Sometimes, I just can't help but to think that my parents are douche bags and retards. It's as if they've never experienced being a teenager... Fuck.

In Philippine society, these rules are standard. Sucks for you that your family is founded on Filipino values. Look, after what I've seen, I can now tell you that you're parents are being reasonable. Let me be a little frank with you, but Boomeroll, your rant makes you sound a little stupid and naive.

Believe me because I have seen everything happen, first hand. I've seen it all. Friends getting drunk till they're shit-faced, getting drugged up...even to the point where they've begun to lose all their hair because of substance abuse. I've had friends who have been almost and raped, been almost and tricked into doing sexual acts. I've had friends who have gotten pregnant and have gotten abortions.

Guess what. All these people are TEENAGERS, just about YOUR age.

No one is ever mature enough to avoid rape. A 40-year-old can be as mature as a 5-year-old after drinking a couple of beers. Liberation is not exactly what it advertises. They're like cigarettes. Tobacco companies make cigarettes look so cool in commercials...but when you buy a pack, you read the consequences of smoking in super fine print.

You're probably thinking, "I'm just gonna be with my friends anyway! I can trust them!" Don't be an idiot. Once everyone's had some alcohol, no one can be trusted. Even I have experienced being a target once my guy friends have become under the influence. What if you become like the unlucky ones who end up going way too far with these people? I know someone whose long time best friend RAPED her. Can you imagine? They've been friends since they were 3 feet tall.

Don't be so brave. Teenagers tend think they're invincible. We're not.
