You know what, I'm not gonna answer the poll. I don't think it's immoral, but the church says it is. Lemme paste a blog entry from my Multiply page: What's wrong with being gay?
I just watched the Tyra show...it's about gay people in society.
There was this irratating trio...saying there's a "cure" to being a homosexual. Yet they're still attracted to men from time to time while being "attracted" to women. You know what, I honestly think that's bullpoo. I honestly think they're just trying to conform with society instead of accepting who they they really are.
And then these two men were interviewed. Saying that there isn't a cure. See! One guy spent $30,000 just to get "reperative therapy". Because people said that being gay is wrong. My gawd! They even did an exorcism on the other guy...expecting him to vommit out demons into a bucket! And they even did a mock funeral...they talked to this boy(the one they told to pretend to be dead) telling him, "This is what's going to happen to you if you don't stop your wrong ways." You're not gonna die 'cause you're gay.
These two men even got married 'cause therapy told them to. They feel bad for their wives. Because they still think of men when they're sleeping with them. They're not cured. They're just conforming.
Honestly, I think we should stop trying to change homosexuals. They're people too.They just happen to like people of the same sex. They're just trying to live their life. Who are we to stop them?Jeric, I'm starting to think you're homophobic lol!XD I have gay friends. They are not bad people! The only thing that makes them really different is the fact that they like people of the same sex. There is nothing wrong with being different. I mean, some times, I just can't help but disagree with the church. People should be able to live life the way they want to. Life is short. We should do everything we can to enjoy it and be happy.  |

Being gay itself is against God's teachings. But my faith in Him is uh... weak at best.
Being gay is not the best way to live your life... but tell that to a gay and an angry mob of girls (and gays) will surround you saying that you'll "hurt his feelings" and "he's a good person even though he's gay". Meh, you can be a good person without being gay. And if you don't like hanging out with boys, well, you can still hang out with girls even without being gay.
Like it or not, there is something very, very wrong about wanting people of the same sex romantically and/or erotically. You can be a good person, but you still would have been something wrong.
It's like a prostitute. Not all prostitutes are bad people. The only thing different about them is that they sell their bodies to strangers. Does that reasoning justify their actions?

My Faith is...honestly, a bit strong...so I do believe that homosexuality is kinda immoral, but at the same time...If they're not doing anything that bad...I don't think its immoral.

I don't think being gay is the best way to live, but for some people it is.
The best way to live is live the happiest life you can. One where can sit down by the end of the day and trully say "I am satisfied with the way my life is turning out to be."
Who are to stop them from falling in love with the people they fall in love with? Who are we to stop them from being happy?
Who are we to judge them?
'Cause we're "normal"?
It is not immoral to love.
We now live in a very liberated world. Though, there are still people who don't accept these changes. If we don't learn to accept these changes, then we'll only end up hating people. Hate is a terrible thing...and not just intese disliking...but intense hate.
Let's not hate.
Trivia: Did you guys know that being gay was normal before? But then the Hebrews came along and said it was wrong....

Men can love other men, yes, but it doesn't have to be romantic. They don't have to engage in a physical relationship. Prostitutes who sell their bodies because they need money for their dying boyfriends definitely did something wrong. Does "falling in love" justify their actions? Just because it's done out of "love" doesn't automatically make it right.
This is, of course, talking of the type of gay people that become gay because they have fallen in love. Don't even get me started on those types of gay who just want men.
For the record, I don't hate gay people. I just don't support being gay.
I don't believe there is any "judging" or "stereotyping" going on in this thread, is there?
Debate threads shouldn't have a poll. A poll doesn't prove anything except for the fact that one has more people support than the other.
