BD: it is not blindly following them!! you just do their request an later on you can do yours... cant you follow your parents for the sake that they your parents??... Following just for the sake of following is, in fact, blind. We need a sense of independence and competence, not shame and doubt towards our own decision. BD: i dont think its just for attraction that lot of people well tell that their school was good because they have nice and clean people. for example here in our place even its a public school they still have haircut rules... peace lolz... I ask you, why don't you think they're doing it for the attraction? Is that school a free school? Anywho, you can't change the fact that it's still violating a person's sense of individuality.

BD:
So the bottom line is you cant follow your parents??... am I right??
BD:
dont you know about public school??... of course they are not paying anything because its a government own... and if they are violating human rights, why they impose it? i think they are educated enough to know whats right and wrong for their students... peace lolz...

So the bottom line is you cant follow your parents??... am I right?? I never figured you for the type that looks at an argument and makes extremely bold claims. I might be wasting time here. Learn2RememberPreviousArguments plz dont you know about public school??... of course they are not paying anything because its a government own... and if they are violating human rights, why they impose it? i think they are educated enough to know whats right and wrong for their students... peace lolz... Not all public schools are free, you see. In our place, the public school asks for a (very small) tuition fee. In addition, that school doesn't have haircut rules, in respect to the children's rights to individualism. But you can never just say "they're educated enough so let's not question them". That response is vague. I need concrete arguments.

BD:
wow... i guess your offended by the question... but i know am not out of topic, you always say your right to choose thats why am asking you that question... and maybe where wasting our time clearing each minds... but i stand for what i believe is reasonable...
BD:
well our public school really value the neatness of their student even though they are just in a public school. They still want that they're student is respected equally by the private school...
(the public school asks for a (very small) tuition fee. In addition, that school doesn't have haircut rules, in respect to the children's rights to individualism.) wow... what kind of PUBLIC SCHOOL is that?? that is really a public school i think they are rich enough to pay a little amounts to banned haircut rules... peace lolz....

Bottom line is we have different parents and experiences. I cant force BD to love and follow his parents if they dont deserve it. I follow my mom cause I know im safe with her. We wouldn't know what BD's gone through and how his parents acted...so...yeah. that's hopefully done? bah!
I hate the no bringing of celphone thing in our school. Every one knows we bring our phones to school. We dont cheat using them anyway, or actually our classmates just haven't thought of that. It should be our responsibility to whether or not listen to the teacher.
...But I admit, the celphone thigny adds spice to my everyday classroom life. XD *inspired*

Tofiluk, your post is still technically one word. Seeing as how you've had a record of following the rules ever so well, I'm sort of surprised. Eh.. just avoid that next time. And I'm done with the argument. *goes emo* NOEBUDDY UNDERSTANDZ!!!!!1111 The no cell phone rule is understandable if you're in elementary, but in high school, a rule like that is pure bull shit.

The no cell phone rule is understandable if you're in elementary, but in high school, a rule like that is pure bull shit. I actually think everyone should be able to bring their phones. In our modern time, I think even children need phones. I mean, what if there's an emergency? Or if they suddenly suspend class or sumthin'? Plus, parents would get to check on their kids or sumthin'...kids just need to make sure they turn them off or put them on silent mode.

What SHOULD be banned are those portable game handhelds.. Hahaha!! Cellphones SHOULD be ALLOWED since it is already a growing necessity for everyone..
About the haircut issue.. We don't live in a communist country nor in a world wherein your hairstyle and/or grooming determines your success in life.. Therefore, I am NOT in favor of the haircut rule as well.. Hahahaha!!

Well actually, elementary students can be very immature. If you let them bring a cell phone to school, they could: - cheat in exams - secretly text while not listening to the teacher - steal each other's cell phones
(not that high school people don't do these things lol..)
By the way: Hell yes.

I just don't get why they put up that rule in our school when every teacher, every janitor, every sister in our school knows people DO bring their phones. A lousy warning slip wont stop them. =.=

well i guess they can use a telephone in school so they can call there parents in case of emergency... i think kids dont deserve cellphones yet, they are to young to have that, and addition to that they might in danger having cellphones. As we all know there's a lot of snatchers in this country... BD: these time i agree with you... but even highschool should not be allowed to bring cellphones, but i guess it cant be stop... hehehe waaahhh... i dont know how to quote... stuuuuuupid of me...

A more clear explanation of why I hate the haircut rule:
Grown-ups like neat and clean hair. Teenagers (like punks/goths/emos) don't always like that kind of thing, because they want to be different. They want to be individuals. But because the grown-ups don't like children's sense of fashion, and they don't like things that are "different", principals everywhere ban the haircut rule. Seriously? It's almost like banning rap music because grown-ups like "normal" songs.

^ Then they hit you with the "I-worry-about-other-people's-opinion-better-than-yours" logic..
Then when that doesn't work, they hit you with the "when-I-was-your-age" talk.. LOL!!

but even highschool should not be allowed to bring cellphones, but i guess it cant be stop... hehehe That is just too much. High school people are smart enough to know how to take care of their valuables. They're also good enough to know the lesson even if they text while in class. They're mature enough.

They should leave us alone. Our hair, at least. Academics and Morality has nothing to do with hair.
