Sure, they love you, and it's childish and stupid for you not to love them. It doesn't mean, though, that because they love you, everything they do is correct. What if they are wrong? I can confidently say that my parents love me, although they treat fashion as if it was their law, never allow me to question their philosophy in life as if they were God, and never admit they're wrong. I hope that just pure "love" won't justify these acts of immorality.

I'm sure my parents love me too. But they don't understand why I need billions of notebooks and pencils. They don't know what happens when I get attacked by a plot bunny. In fact, they don't understand much about me at all.

I really can't understand parents because the things they wants is the oppsite of the things we want.

I believe that the characteristics of the typical parents are too memorable for me to ever inherit. I might take on other negative traits, but it's highly unlikely that I'd inherit any of the habits that I mentioned in the opening post.

I won't agree with you AJ and sorry
my parents are so very strict in terms of studies and if I get low marks in one of my subjects they would just hit me for not doing good but sometimes when they hit me I really don't mind because I'm used to be hurt by my parents.
It really sucks to have a parent like mine.

OMG. I feel blessed that I have a cool mom. I just hope that I never ever piss her off so much that it'll make her sucky.
I hate it when parents like to take control, though. Like, how parents want your future to revolve around money and success. My mom wants me to set designing aside so that I can pick a course that'll make me richer...

^ I KNOW. My lola (yes, she's like 'The Law' cause she's older adn we can't answer back =.=) thinks I shouldn't take engineering cause I won't end up as good as I think I would cause Engineers aren't as wanted as doctors and nurses and I won't end up rich.
First of all, SCREW NURSING. I don't like it. It's a pain. Besides, her RICHEST relative WAS an engineer. And he's just not a millionare, he's one of the top ten richest in the Philippines.
And well, kung talino lang naman....Engineering consists of like what, more than 4 or 5 kinds of math right? That's all-smart-assy and all. Ayaw lang kasi niyang matanggap mas matalino ako sa math kaysa sa kanya. >.> If she wanted doctors so badly, why didn't she become a doctor herself? Geez.

I don't like it when they think that all they do is suffer because of us. And they make parinig and all that. I hate that. And because I was raised not to throw tantrumps, I developed an implosive kind of anger. I don't slash myself, but I pull my hair and there was even a time I had scalp problems because of that. I scrathed--almost scarred my wrist a lot til I don't feel pissed anymore. Yeah, that's why madali ako magkasugat. They just don't understand that "Hindi lang sila yung nahihirapan" thing.

Parents nowadays are so mean to us(I wonder why?), they thought that they are so perfect that they could predict everything we do even though they are not always there besides us.
