Well this question really puzzled me around and that's why I make this thread because I want to know the answer or your opinion in comes to this matter. Do you believe theory? Well explain it further and deeper!

I happened to believe the theory of evolution. Which explains why one of my former classmates looks like a monkey.

that's one query that makes uz again, confused. yes,. how could Man be from monkeys if monkeys now arent evolved in somewhat like us, humans. Id rather believe the Biblical Theory.

I don't want to believe we came from monkeys. Monkeys are cool and awesoem and banana-ey and all but...that's just waddis. I read in a book we did evolve but from something ... un-monkey. We came from small thingys which were, then, hidden under the deepest oceans and all. It collected and joined other molecules until eventually, it was visible to the naked eye. Then it continued to build up until it started to float as a red blob of protein. then it came contact with land and other un-oceany things. It started to develop and evolve and voila! Humans.
...This was some unpopular theory. *I read it in an old science book. They had terms which made the theory seem more convincing. But I just use red blobs of protein...so...yeah

how about your the former classmate and your the who looks like a monkey!! would you laugh?? I wouldn't laugh. But I would accept the awful truth, which, apparently, not a lot of people want to do. ... so if you believe on evolution how you can explain the existence of the monkey right now? why does theirs still a lot of monkey and yet they doesnt evolve?.... The body adapts to the environment, so... evolved humans might not have needed the warm hair covering. There are a lot of possibilities, and frankly, I am not so interested in knowing where we came from. But the theory of evolution is a lot more believable than Genesis.

I also believe in the theory of evolution. From those cells from the sea, we evolved to greater beings. Monkeys then humans.

About the environment thing Joboy posted.. Tignan nyo mga eskimo.. They have thick skin and have long hair EVERYWHERE.. It's because their bodies have to adapt to the harsh cold environment.. Or us, for example.. Our skins are thin lang (save for some people na makapal ang mukha), all because our bodies have to adapt to the warm temperatures of our tropical climate.. I don't believe, though, in the theory of the genesis, wherein people just popped out of nowhere.. Hahahaha!!

In Genesis:
- God creates light and separates light from darkness, and day from night, on the first day. Yet he didn't make the light producing objects (the sun and the stars) until the fourth day
- Plants are made on the third day before there was a sun to drive their photosynthetic processes
- God makes two lights: "the greater light [the sun] to rule the day, and the lesser light [the moon] to rule the night." But the moon is not a light, but only reflects light from the sun. And why, if God made the moon to "rule the night", does it spend half of its time moving through the daytime sky?
- God fashions a woman out of one of Adam's ribs. Because of this story, it was commonly believed (and sometimes it is still said today) that males have one less rib than females. But Vesalius showed in 1543 that he number of ribs was the same in males and females.

both theory are believable, but every theory has its own big questions... especially the biblical theory...
