My favorites from the mainstream side of music are:
5. Hugh Grant and Haley Bennet's Way Back Into Love (because it's me and Danilyn's theme song and hearing it makes me mushy)
4. John Lennon's Imagine (because he and I are on the same page - peace on earth, yo!)
3. Marilyn Manson's The Beautiful People (because being one of the beautiful people can make you suck horribly)
2. Rolling Stone's Paint it Black (because it has that beautifully depressing tone that just makes you want to slit your wrists and die. I heard this music while watching Twisted Metal Black's credits and I have to say I was amazed.
1. Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody (because it's a nice combination of melodrama, opera, and rock, along with lyrics that tell a deep story, all combined into a perfectly done single)
And from the non-mainstream (you can ignore this; I'd rather have the above songs as part of the ratings that Useless Being has in mind):

5. Dandy Warhol's We Used To Be Friends - this song...rocks.
4. The Verve's Bittersweet Symphony- a great mix of classical music and rock. The strings for this song is totally awesome. You totally have to listen to this!
3. Good Charlotte's Dance Floor Anthem - ok, don't judge this song by it's title. The lyrics really make me feel. The story is really sad. I also think a lot of people relate to the song (especially party girls/boys). Also, I can't help but dance to this song every time it plays. When I hear it...I wanna dance and cry.XD
2. The Rolling Stones' Paint It Black- this song makes you feel.
1. The Gorillaz's Rock The House- you can't help but smile when you hear this song! Even the video makes you grin ear to ear! Because this song is so happy...it's my number one.

LOL I like all those songs. Recently I've been listening to Bittersweet symphony and Walking on Sunshine and I must say -- I totally agree to what you guys said.
5. Right as Rain By Adele -- I agree with the lyrics and it's been stuck in my head.
4. El Scorcho By Weezer -- I love the band, And I love the feel of this song more. DRUNK LOVE SONGS ROCK. And I do actually feel the love there. It's my theme song when I'm all mushy and stuff, mushy, drunk and embarassed!
3. You are So Last Summer by Taking Back Sunday -- I relate to the lyrics, again, and well TBS is cool like that.
2. Baby, it's fact by Hellogoodbye -- The lyrics are simple and straightforward. I LIKE it. The way black is black,
and blue is just blue
