So I asked a few Harry Potter fans what's so extraordinary about that book. Nothing seems to strike my fancy about it, and I don't get why its ratings are so over-the-top. Lo and behold, people gave me answers like "Oh, I just read the first book, and just thought of finishing the whole story" or "Coz Danielle Radcliffe is CUUUUUTE!!!"
The degree of how unhelpful those responses were... cannot be described in words.
And now, I seek answers from this forum, in hopes of getting something that is the least bit convincing or... can make me believe that the book really is worth the hype.

Honestly, I hate harry potter *the character*... and I dont think Dan's..."Cute" either. I just like Ron. ... and reading it was...different.
People shouldn't really expect much from it since it was made for people 12 and below. But for something writen for 12 and below, it is awesome. Compared to what, books about puppy love?
I just dont understand how it's compared to lord of the rings, which was made for older people. And how the mistle toe, in the story, suddenly appeared out of nowhere and made harry and cho chang kiss *Cause cho chang's a useless vitch*.
...That didn't make sense. Bah who cares Im brain dead and irritated right now.

Neh.. I found the books fascinating, especially the 7th..
But then the movies.. They sucked big-time.. Sans the actress who plays Luna, though.. XD

I don't like the movies too, but the books are great. ^^ I find Luna really cute. And why can't Harry be for Hermione? Oh well.
The thing about Harry Potter is...well, every fantasy-lovers wants to see some action, right? So here it is! Complete with the pretty spells! *grabs wand* Accio, bag! *bag flies over* See?
ANd the characters are nice. A little grim on Harry's though. Aww. XD
I'm too l'm too lazy to say anything else. Ask Jeanelle. She's a die-hard fan too.

7th book It's nice but.. A lot of love in it.. Cheesefest ni ginny at harry and medyo ron at hermione. those pairs get married.. harry has 3 kids. James, Albus severus and Lily. Hermione and ron has a kid named rose  Epilogue is OMG CHEEEESY. Volde dies, hedwig dies, lupin dies, fred dies, madeye dies, snape dies dami namatay.. Please lang... Gandahan nila yung movies.. last 2 na lang.. The best so far..(for me) the 2nd and 4th 6th and seventh book.. GInny Harry Cheese fest. ano kaya sa movie yun..0_0 andami ko sinabi. |

Ew. I hate the 7th book. Sucky sucky epilouge. Sigh. I'll stick to fanfic. Where Harry and Hermione can be together. They're a more realistic couple. Ew. HarryGinny? Stalker love.
I like the movies.

How 'bout the the other fanfic, the one which is 659 pages, the final battle was loads better than the real one..but after that it kinda sucks,.turns out Dudley was a wizard and killed his parents beacause they kept him from the wizarding world.

I havent read the whole 7th book but....I am so sick of the pairings. UGH. I wish Luna would never fall in love. 7th book = proof of some people who get ruined and a bit shallow because of love. I mean, Ginny's too powerful for Harry. *gets killed by harry fans* I just dont like Harry when he's in love. He turns .... different when he's in love.
I dont like the love thingys in hp *obviously* and I dont like the fact that, they had to kill hedwig and fred...oh and snape cause theyre my fave. characters. and wtf, pagbigyan naman nila yung owl. Owl na nga lang eh. XD

Well it was not very refreshing to find out that Harry Potter 7 is cheesy. But that's not why I'm upset now, really. What I'm upset about is accidentally reading those GOD DAMN SPOILERS. I thought it was clear by my opening post that I have not read anything about Harry Potter, but no. I had to have the supposed "excitement" taken away. I know you find the 7th book shocking, but I didn't have to know what you're so shocked about. Thank you, now I'm even less driven to read Harry Potter.
