And what everyone didn't understand was that this is what people are wearing around their neck... This is Christianity's favorite imagery.

I have seen this on your DA. ^^ Your style is always with deep meaning. Anyway, everybody says the whole image is holy just because He's the son of God. How about those unearthly slaughters nowadays? Aren't we god's children too?

Ugh.. And to think.. I wear a pentacle and people get offended.. =))
While they, on the other hand, aren't offended by a tortured, dying man hung on billions of people's necks? Wahahaha!!
The irony of it all, aye..

Honestly I didn't get the meaning much. But oh well, credit for the drawing!
Your art always has a message. That's great cause a lot of people just draw for the sake of it. keep it up.

I'll give you a nudge, chuna:
For me, ALL deaths (of good guys) are tragic. Not a single death is a cause for celebration to me.

Well, I guess so. >.> I mean, we can't say "I'm CATHOLIC" without the proof of a symbol. Now we have the crosses and rosaries to prove we are part of that religion. That's what I think.

Oh, wow. Buddhist symbols are hand gestures. They don't seem to be as violent as Christians. XD

BD: It's because Buddhists are nature-lovers. They believe that all things have a soul. >.> Whereas we Catholics only believe in one God and all that. >.< My opinion anyway.

Christians also believe that all things have a soul. And they're also SUPPOSED to be nature lovers (seeing as how everything natural is God-given).

I don't see much Christians caring though. There's the priests and nuns, but that's about it. It's because that I think we believe that God wouldn't really send us to hell if we stomp on plants...but if God did make a rule that not only said to be good to our neighbors, but also be good to his creations or he'd send us straight to hell, then maybe Christians wouldn't be so hard on such. >.>

@bd: I think your drawing is great but It is so blasphemous.

It isn't blasphemy. It is, in fact, more Christian than any other drawing. If Christ was here I think he would've supported the message behind this drawing.

Would he now? Isn't Jesus a little more merciful? I mean, statues are fine, but I remember my little cousins getting afraid of the crucifixion...anyway. It would be a good idea. >D A lot of people would get unnerved and they might change for the better.

For me all symbols of Christ are all lies.
Why? dahil sa totoo lang parang hindi yan ang itchura ni Jesus...

None of the "professional" Christians have ever claimed that Jesus really looked like that. It is only an imagery made up by people but that imagery is symbolic and we need symbolic stuff like that to praise the Lord better.
