It's been a while since I have last posted something relevant to the forum. I've been thinking about this one for so long, and now it's my 400th post, I decided to put it up here. Discuss my little story below or post your own that shows how you found your most significant treasures in life. Pshaw. >.> I just wanted to type. Dx Oh! Nico was too lazy to log in, so we both decided to mix our posts together. xDD Hope nobody minds. ROFLMAO.

Drawing had always been the only thing that drove her life. She depended on it, for it was her skill, a talent rarely given to anyone by randomly. And though she wasn't really an expert in the field, she was good enough.
But those years, only spent with the company of her gift, were lonely. Empty. She was still young, still too young to understand and realize all the things she was missing. Perhaps at that time it didn't really matter, but the truth started to catch up to her in the future, when she grew older.
At first, the hollowness was eating at her, and she couldn't help being snappy and mean to everybody. Still immature, she still thought that all she needed was to go back home, where she grew up, to be happy. She hadn't an idea what she truly needed- until one day the first gift was given to her in the form of a schoolmate asking for money.
She didn't know him, but instantly recognized him as one of her crush's friends. Surprisingly he had approached her one day to ask for some recess money; in fact, it seemed as he was joking around with her, and they didn't even know each other's names.
But that occurrence, no matter how uncanny, led to numerous better ones; he became her best friend, turned out to be her sincerest lover, and he was the one who was able to open her eyes to the truth.
She was good at writing too, even better. She bested the writers in her class, made thousands of wonderful fanfics (after realizing her new talent), and wrote almost everyday about everything that happens to her. Her imagination had been triggered to widen with his help- and soon she was transformed into a good enough, somewhat ideal, 14-year-old girl.
That was not the only thing. Later in her transformed years, another man came to be. But this time, he took not only her hand- but her heart.
Who said distance would severe the relationship? It helped them both build trust for each other. He gave her reassurance that he would always be just a telephone call away, no matter the distance. And her best friend, even if he felt rejected (though he was certainly not), accepted the new arrival in her life with open arms and a cheery smile.
She was glad, he told her one day. And that's what matters the most.

She wasn't really serious about anything, but why did it matter? That's exactly the reason why she had always been branded as childish; she never was serious for anything. She did things because she wanted to, because she said she would, and because she knows she has to. She is honest and cheerful, and she finds something significant in every situation- being quick-witted and spontaneous. She never found time to look back, always smiling at today and dreaming about the future. And he liked that about her. But then again, there would be times when she would strongly contradict herself; she would become the opposite of everything she stood for. And he would be annoyed, pissed even. But that was when they had only been friends for a month.
Days went by, and the more he hated her, the more he realized he liked her. Her movements and reactions always made him smile, and the same could be said when he was the one who's being funny. There had been countless days beneath the afternoon sun, just eating isaw and fishballs, or inside crowded internet cafes playing DoTa or using the internet.
And at first he had thought that he had made a mistake approaching her that fine day.
Who knew that his empty wallet would bring him closer to his greatest treasure?
