Okay, so, the Crypt has existed in, what? Over a year now? And no one ever thought of making a "Favorite Films" thread in the cryptic theater. Someone has to make it some time or another. My favorite movie has to be The Dark Knight, because of Heath Ledger's brilliant performance, especially during the interrogation scene. The writing and the script was excellent - it really brought out a realistic psychology of someone as crazy as The Joker. I also liked how The Joker wasn't using high-tech gizmos and shit, because it just didn't fit his character. And because of how Ledger acted, I could feel how much The Joker hated the world, how much he just wanted everything to burn. In his manner of speaking, I could tell that he had horrible experiences in the past. I could tell that he went insane for a reason. And I could tell that he learned from his experiences because the words coming out of his mouth sounded so wise. The Joker was the most brilliant character I have ever seen written.

I'm not much of a movie person but I love "Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind". AJ, if you're reading this, omg 23 boy's in it. D: twenty....three....
Anyway, it wasn't that much dramatic, no one died, there were no fancy .... okay so the camera effects were cool. It was really....emotional and all, when we watched their memories getting erased. And I was happy how their love wasn't so cliche and how no matter what happened they actually were still together.

I've seen "Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind" Yes, Jim Carrey was in it That movie was pretty good! It had an all star cast and a good concept. It was pretty well written and was shot well. I cried when he forgot who Kate Winslet was. One of my favorite films..."Moulin Rouge". I loved EVERYTHING about it! The cast, the musical score, the script, the sets, the shooting style...Baz Luhrman (the director) is amazing! Ewan McGreggor was so yummy in the movie... And Nicole Kidman was so...wow. And I loved John Lenguizamo (the dwarf) The movie was not your typical love story. There was no happy ending. No happy ending for anyone. Yet, their love was immortalized. Well, through a book.

I have to agree on the excellence of Moulin Rouge. It's my idea of a perfect love story which was presented in a near-perfect fashion. The lines were a little lame sometimes, but the delivery was good enough for me to disregard the sheer amount of cheese. It felt like a dark Shakespearean drama with a great mixture of despair and hope, lust and love. I think it's the only love story which is presented in just the style I like.
So until I find or am suggested a better movie, my current favorite film about love is Moulin Rouge, my current favorite film about disasters is 2012, my current favorite comedic film is Kung Pow, and my current favorite film in terms of issues not usually tackled in movies (human observation, the darkness of reality, gray areas of morality) is The Dark Knight.

Moulin Rouge was pretty awesome. I never really watched it whole in one sitting but I managed to get the important scenes. I loved that part where it looked like a happy ending sort of, with the whole bollywood thing going on but then there was still that guy with the gun. It was sooo ... ironic? I forgot the word. But it was good.
