It's official. The Filipino version of "Twilight" will be called "Takipsilim". BULLSHIT. IT'S SO FUCKING...GAHHH!!!



Everything about it is completely wrong! I hate how the Filipino media keeps copying Western media. Why can't Filipinos be more original rather than copying stuff and ruining the original? I'm sorry. But this "Takipsilim" thing is going to be shitastrous. Even the cast sucks. The guy playing Edward is way too unattractive to play this part. Edward is supposed to be laglag-panty gorgeous. This guy looks...blah.

One phrase to summarize my outrage?

Uh.. what? They are going to take a shitty story like Twilight, and make it into Filipino in order to make it even more shittier? They're complete morons. What do they think they can accomplish here? I'm pissed. This is the kind of stuff that makes me kinda embarrassed of my Filipino heritage. Did you see the comments in the Perez post? Majority of the Filipinos who commented feel the same way I do. A little embarrassed...and craving for originality. Also, very appalled with the leading cast.

I have seen the rest of the cast list...it's not so bad. I still don't agree with who they cast for Rosalie. They picked Karylle to play Rosalie. Again, it's the same problem with the Western film. Rosalie is supposed to be drop-dead gorgeous. Karylle...well, she's cute. But not drop-dead gorgeous. I think someone like...I dunno...Anne Curtis or KC Conception should play Rosalie. Someone who looks like model.

But, even if they fixed the casting, "Takipsilim" is still shitastrous.

Another thing I would like to point out. The Philippine media not only copies American media, but also Korean and Spanish media. I mean, how many of Philippine TV shows are just remakes of Koreanovelas and Spanish telenovelas?
