Long rant ahead..


My lolo kasi is the one holding the family's money, lest we'd all die of hunger and despair..

This morning, when I got money from my lolo, he went ballistic, literally.. He was going "wala na kayong pera, nagtataas na ang presyo ng mga bilihin at lalabas-labas ka pa ngayon?" among all other stuff.. Di ako maka-kibo eh.. What really ticked me off was the next thing he said.. "Ano, gigimik ka nanaman kasama mga kaibigan mo? Wala ka nang ginawa kundi gumastos!! Para kang papa mo.."

SHIT. FOUL.

I lashed out on him.. "Tangina naman eh bakit mo sa kin nilalabas ang galit mo kay papa? And for your information, di ako lumaki katulad nya!! At least ako, hindi ako madamot sa pera katulad nya!! Kung gastusin ng kanyang Pajero na di naman nya ginagamit at pinapagamit, nalalabasan nya ng pera, pangangailangan ng sarili nyang anak di man nya kayang gastusan!!"

Then my lola walked in on us.. "Hoy, anung sinisigaw-sigaw nyo dyan? Tumigil nga kayo!!" Then I went "Wala ka namang pakialam dito eh.. Kaya wag ka ngang sasabat!!" Then, as if it made complete sense to her, she walked out of the room..



Goddammit.. Is it gonna be THIS hard to get two hundred bucks for my school supplies?

Better question would be.. ARE WE REALLY THAT FUCKIN POOR? MY DAD'S GETTING HIMSELF A 48-inch PLASMA TV, a second iPhone, and a new car and they're telling us wala na kaming pera? BULLSHIT..

I wanna graduate already.. Earn my own money.. Psh.. Badtrip amputa..

Purp, I don't understand why you have to ask your lolo for some money for school supplies when your FATHER is getting a new television, a new phone, and a new car. I kinda understand your lolo. My lolo's the one holding ALL the money.. Mine, my dad's, my lola's, my titos' and titas'.. My father's side.. They're all selfish.. ALL OF THEM.. When it's for them, it's okay.. Pero kung gastusin pang-pamilya, their faces turn sour all of a sudden..

They contribute little for the family.. My mom and ninang are the ones supporting this family, and my father's side just wouldn't give a rat's ass about it..

Kumbaga what's my money is my money, and I'm not putting anything out for this family.. That's how my dad thinks.. He's the one who keeps saying wala na kaming pera and shit.. Pero sometime soon bibili ng kung anu-ano yan.. B-biyahe kung san san yan ehh wala naman syang formal na trabaho..

And how the hell do I save money if I'm not given any money to save in the first place? Anung is-save ko? Play money?


Joboy, I am not a prick.. I am merely fighting for what I think is right and just.. Ganun rin kasi ang lola ko.. What's mine is mine.. Lahat sila.. She even made my siblings cry one time, shouting out curses and shit "mga puta kayo, pera ko to! indi pa ba kayo pwede magtrabaho para kayo bumili ng mga gamit nyo?" and my siblings and cousins are like, 15? 16? 17 years old?

The money that I spend? I earn that shit.. I CONTRIBUTE TO THIS DAMNED FAMILY MORE THAN MY DAD EVER DOES!! Do you really think they'd give me that much money? Puhleeze..

PART 2 : The Story of My Life
A rant/storytelling of what you should know about me.. I'm sharing this with you guys coz I trust you, Joboy, AJ, Deni, Jeanelle, and Joanne.. And yes, just so you'd know how I live..


My dad this morning : So ano, kelan pasukan mo? Ggraduate ka na ba? Magttrabaho ka na ba? Kelan ka magkakapera? Kaya mo bang suportahan ang pamilya?

I was like.. Hello? Sa 16 pa pasukan ko.. Sa october pa graduation ko.. Naghahanap na ko ng trabaho kahapon.. Dati pa ko nagbabayad ng bills ng telepono, internet, at cable..

Pero.. Somehow di ko na masabi yun sa kanya.. He just woke up.. Groggy pa sya.. Hmph..

I mean, sure, he's my FATHER.. But when the family's on the verge of breaking apart mainly because of him and his parents, well.. That changes everything, doesn't it?

Yes, it's true.. Muntik na mabasag ang pamilya ko dahil sa pandaramot ng pera..

It's true, I do admit, I spent a whole lotta money before.. For dates, shopping sprees, and Starbucks.. But then again, none of the money came from him.. Not a single centavo.. My great-grandmother supports me with my studies.. Sure, my dad buys groceries for the family.. But then again.. Since he knows no one else eats fatty foods in the family, that's all he buys.. My mom, on the other hand, buys the rest of the groceries.. She pays for the electricity and water.. I pay for the phone line, internet, and miscellaneous stuff with the money I earn from webdesigning and graphics designing..

And here comes the grandparents.. They talk as if they were the ones who raised the family.. Sure, they're one of the reasons why this family hasn't broken apart yet, but it's only for their reputations as prominent members of the community, AS USUAL.. They spend my dad's money as if it's theirs.. And it's not their money I'm making hingi naman if ever eh..

FYI : Minsanan lang ako humingi ng pera sa kanila o sa tatay ko.. Pag talagang penniless na ko, saka ako lumalapit sa kanila.. And to answer Deni's question.. I don't make hingi for laqua.. It comes straight from my pocket, from my sweat and tears..

My lolo holds ALL the money because none but one of his children know how to hold and save money for the "rainy days"..

Included in that none, unfortunately, is my dad, who buys the best stuff for him, and yet, cheapo stuff for the rest of the family.. That isn't really a big deal on my part, but in the long run, yes, it does na talaga for the other people in the family..



No, di ko sinisiraan ang tatay, lolo't lola ko sa inyo.. Ang sinasabi ko lang naman, bago nyo ko husgaan, alamin nyo kaya muna ang buong istorya..

The first post was kinda ... well yeah. But it's a rant so whatever, when I rant I don't really feel like hearing comments about my decisions whether I'm right or wrong. So no comment.

I understand everything else about money and shiz (Our family has financial problems and shares and stuff too and I live with my lola who's been pretty much Assy and righteous on me) but the part you lashed out on your lola. Poor lola. Pero fine, it really isn't her problem is it.

Ouch at your family ... rants. It's like you don't even have a wallet of your own anymore. ._.

Well Family's suck at times like that for people.
