I was a kid back then!
Besides, I was never emo about it. I just liked it. But then... yeah, I realized it was dumb.

Wee, this is such a fun thread!
Emo's Goth's ... whatever ... You can't ask for what it is cause we'll keep giving different answers and try to make ours make more sense.
I know urban dictionary and they all gave different answers to.o.
Krein: nice sig, btw.
AJ: Slahing became a trend in our school.

It became a trend 'cause they wanted to seem like they have drama in their life. Drama makes people interesting...they wanted attention. That and music videos make suicide look cool.

Cutting myself never crossed my mind. I never wanted to die in the first place. Thought about another way of dying anyway...Still didn't do it though. I'd hurt others, especially those who wasn't aware.
@bd: Not everyone is brave enough to face their fears and problems, you know. But then again, a little counseling might do.

Jeanelle: XD I like punks! But I don't know if I should say 'yes' to your question. ^_^; Believe it or not, but cutting does give a temporary release.. It may but don't they have any other form of outlet besides hurting themselves? Emo people aren't resourceful enough. They should break something instead. XD Or maybe burn something. Yeah, that's a good outlet. XD As long as they don't hurt themselves or anyone. And I think shouting is a good outlet too. Or maybe punching pillows. I do it all the time. XD OR pinching. It's painful but it doesn't involve blood loss. EDIT: That last sentence made me laugh. It's ironic to what I said. XD

@bd: Not everyone is brave enough to face their fears and problems, you know. But then again, a little counseling might do. The problem is that normal people ARE brave enough to face their problem. Tell me, have you seen a grown man who is $300 in debt, and $500 behind on cable/gas/electric bills, all the while being asked for dollars and ciggarettes by some urban trash on the way to your apartment, dress in black with stupid-looking side-bangs ranting about how "Nobody understands"?

Well, respect people. Respect Emo's cause they're dramatic. Respect posers cause they're sad little creatures craving for attention and waiting for someone to slash their wrists with. Still, honestly *no offense* DIE EMO-POSERS! DIEEEEEEEIEIEIIEIEIE!!!
Pristine: Yeah, I agree...eating is a better outlet! or try some sport...I dunno, it works for me. Or play violent video games! Its more violent than any emo-poser could think of! ...*cough Im more violent than the emo posers I know cough that was obvious*
Jeric: No, our school isn't silent hill. It's just filled with wild kids who are bored and crazy enough to make those things trends.
Jeanelle: Heck they need a lot of counselling if they think slashing is the way out of their misunderstood life.

Gotla: A lot of counseling, yes.
BD: Normal people. Ever noticed that a lot of people here are not normal? nevermind...>_>;
Why cut yourself anyway? Breathe in glue! -toxic- glue! or strap a plastic bag on your head, drown yourself...there's a lot of non-bloody ways.
A classmate of mine cuts himself...you can see his slashes up and down his arm. He said he was just not ready to die yet so he left out his wrists...I don't know, maybe he's just a masochist.

A lot of people here aren't normal, yes. That's because they're extraordinary.

hell yeah! XD
There's a lot of cutting that happened at school. 1. They cut near their stomach's cause no one else would see it. 2. they cut near the bendy part of the arm, away from the wrist...behind the elbow. 3. they cut names of the person they love, like what AJ said. 4. they cut the numbers of certain dates, special things and...fave. numbers.
...One even tried suicide, but didn't work. I feel sorry for my suicidal friends at school.
There was even a joke about what happened last year to some people. They said they were reported to the principal. The principal got mad at the students for cutting their arm *not wrists* cause it was stupid.
Principal: "Kung maglalaslas kayo, sa wrists! hindi sa braso! Dyan malapit sa kamay niyo!" XD
