I'm curious about what it's ALL about.. Can anyone please post up a synopsis or summary of the Series / Anime?  ;D Sheesh.. I wanna cosplay Light but I don't even know who he really is.. =)) |

Death Note is a highly popular Japanese Manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. Death Note revolves around the main character Light Yamgami. Light is Japan's Top High School student who has led a boring and uneventful life.
That of course changes once Light finds a mysterious notebook entitled, "Death Note". In the beginning Light is of course skeptical, however once he learns that the Death Note is a tool used by the Shinigami's (Death Gods) which has the power to kill anyone who's name is written on its pages, Light decides to use the Death Note to "Cleanse" the world of evil.
Eventually because of the unexplainable deaths of reported criminals was noted, Light becomes hunted by the Japanese Police force and a mysterious detective known only as "L".
"L" quickly learns that the muderer, whom the public has dubbed "Kira", is located in Japan, and that he can kill by knowing someones face and name. Light realizes that "L" is just as clever, if not more intellegent them himself and begins a "cat and mouse" chase with "L" to see who will be the first to have their identity exposed.

I finished watching the whole anime series just today.. As in.. In 1 go.. Around 18 hours.. LOL..
And yay!! My cosplay stuff for Light Yagami is completed!! LOL.. Death Note at fountain pen na lang.. LOL..

I support Near. He isn't as ruthless as L. Besides, he was the one who caught that motherfucker, Kira.

well.. without the sacrifice of mello he would be dead.. hahaha.. Light is the best.. He took 3 geniuses all by himself and just caught by some stupid mistake of a comrade..hahaha

Light made a pretty stupid mistake as well, declaring his victory like that. Near was incredible in his predictions - he reached the point where he was almost certain the Light was Kira, while L didn't really go that far (he died before he could put the pieces together). All Mello really did was just help Near with the attack against Kira.
Near had the honor of battling two geniuses as well, in the form of Light and Mikami. Near and Mello won, Light and Mikami lost. Game over. Kira loses, L dies, Mello dies, Near wins.

The real question is this.. How did Near got all the files that L had?.. I mean, they did erase all the files.. And Near almost died.. except for some stupid mistake by Mikami.. Mikami isn't a genius.. If he is.. He'd stick to whatever Light would tell him ryt? And he will know that Light have some plans for Takada..
I think about Near is that the story was fast paced.. Because how did he predicted so fast that the second L is Kira?

Probably, L had someone beforehand to send the files to the orphanage just in case he died.
Mikami, I believe, IS a genius. Almost ridiculously, he knew who Light wanted to kill, and he knew how "Kira" brought about judgment, but it's because of that fact that they got into a disaster (they killed the same person in just a ONE MINUTE interval!).
Near predicted that Light is Kira because he put together L's research and his own. Sure, the story was fast-paced but it still sorta' makes sense to me.
